AUSTIN, Texas – At The University of Texas, we say "what starts here changes the world," and that is exactly what Texas Athletics had in mind with the creation of the 4EVER TEXAS program. The comprehensive and transformational student-athlete development program is designed to educate, equip and empower Longhorn student-athletes who will go on to change the world for the better.

"The primary goal of the Student-Athlete Development Office and 4EVER TEXAS Program is to work alongside Academic Services to prepare our student-athletes for lifelong success," said Arin Dunn, Director of Student-Athlete Development. "We only get four years to prepare our student-athletes for the next 40-plus years of their lives. The 4EVER TEXAS Program will allow us to accomplish that by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, resources, and confidence necessary to create lasting success in all aspects of life."

The 4EVER TEXAS Program is composed of three main areas of focus: TEXAS TAILORED (Career and Professional Development), UTRANSFORM (Character and Personal Development), AGENTS of CHANGE (Community Service & Civic Engagement). A portion of the programming will be centered around name, image, and likeness in order to equip student-athletes with the knowledge and tools necessary to maximize their brand and platform.

The program's curriculum is structured so that each year, Longhorn student-athletes will participate in a progression of workshops, events, and experiential learning opportunities, as well as completing specific tasks in each area in order to enhance their preparation for life after the Forty Acres.

"Our 4EVER TEXAS program is a game-changer," said UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte. "It's a collaboration across all of Texas Athletics and utilizes the expertise and knowledge of our entire staff, campus community, and vibrant city, as well as the amazing resources across our great state, country and all of Longhorn Nation."

"4EVER TEXAS is keenly focused on helping our student-athletes learn, grow and be exposed to so many opportunities during their time on campus, but just as importantly, preparing them for their lives after and beyond the Forty Acres. We tell our student-athletes all the time that coming to Texas is not just a four or five-year decision, it's a lifetime decision. What starts here truly does change the world, and it's our responsibility to provide the tools and expose them to the many resources to help them do just that. The 4EVER TEXAS program is a critical piece in that."

Throughout their time in the 4EVER TEXAS program, student-athletes have opportunities to take part in mentorship programs, international service trips, leadership development, financial empowerment workshops, 1-on-1 personal financial counseling and several other transformational experiences.

Longhorn student-athletes also begin making professional connections and networking through the 4EVER TEXAS Externship Program, networking events, mock interviews and career fairs. Through campus partnerships, the program will connect Longhorn student-athletes with employers, alumni, and letterwinners across the country.

The 4EVER TEXAS program provides Longhorn student-athletes with everything they need to be successful, including new professional attire. Student-athletes will earn incentives as they progress through the program, such as the complimentary professional attire they will receive courtesy of a new partnership with Reveal Suits.

"Athletes have big goals on and off the field of competition," said track and field and cross country student-athlete and SAAC Executive Board Member Sam Worley. "4EVER TEXAS provides student-athletes with the tools and experiences to help them reach those goals and find success wherever life takes them."

"The 4EVER TEXAS program will give student-athletes access to so many amazing resources and opportunities to help build our career and professional skills," said volleyball student-athlete and SAAC President Logan Eggleston. "It is important we take advantage of everything it has to offer to set ourselves up for success."
