Lifetime teases first Christmas movie ‘sex scene’ in network’s history: ‘Came out so beautifully’ - Fox News

The Lifetime TV network is previewing the first ever sex scene in one of its upcoming Christmas movies this year.

"A Cowboy Christmas Romance" is one of twelve new Christmas movies belonging to the network’s annual holiday series.

The new film stars actor Adam Senn and actress Jana Kramer, who plays a real estate agent that has to return to her hometown in Arizona and reclaim land from a local rancher. In the process, she reconnects with her family and falls in love.

The actress recently spoke about the "first" Lifetime Christmas sex scene during her "Whine Down" podcast.

Speaking to her guest Sarah Drew, one of the writers of the film, Kramer described the scene, saying, "Spoiler alert — he lays me down on some hay, and then we, you know. Obviously, it’s still Lifetime, it’s still family. But it was pushing limits there, too… They didn’t cut anything. I was so happy that they really left it all in there."

Drew praised the scene as well, adding, "It all came out so beautifully, but especially the scene in the kitchen. I had written into the stage directions, ‘He pulls her up onto the counter, he shoves things off the table.’"

"I put it all in there, so I was like, ‘Don’t take the steam and the sex away from me. I wrote it on purpose, I want it in there,’" the writer said.

Kramer also noted that "A Cowboy Christmas Romance" was groundbreaking as far as network Christmas movies go for other reasons. She explained, "We barely mention the word ‘Christmas.’ There’s no gingerbread bake-off, there’s no festival, that town that’s going to hell and you gotta save it."

A Lifetime network executive claimed they added the sex scene because they believe "there’s an audience out there that’s hungry for grown-up romance." (Matthias Cooper)

"The only thing was, like, [my character] coming back and seeing Adam or his character… Those cozy feelings happen, but it’s all mixed up with real family stuff and identity stuff and relationship stuff," the actress added.

Senior VP of scripted content at Lifetime, Tia Maggini, told Hollywood outlet Variety this week that they’ve added the adult-oriented scene to the film, because they wanted to heat up their usual holiday fare.

She said, "We think that there’s an audience out there that’s hungry for grown-up romance, and we’re looking forward to adding some smolder to the usual holiday sugar and spice."

"We love trying new things, and we’re excited about this new ‘first’ for us for a holiday movie," the executive added.

Despite Maggini’s claims, recent studies have shown that young audiences would like to see less sex in movies and on TV. According to UCLA’s "Teens and Screens" report, 51.5% of adolescents would prefer to see more content that portrays platonic relationships and close friendships.

Also, the study found that 44.4% of youth surveyed felt that romance in media was "overused."

Meta takes down China-based network of thousands of fake accounts - BBC.com

By Mike WendlingBBC News

Getty Images A Facebook logoGetty Images

Meta says it recently removed a network of thousands of fake and misleading accounts based in China.

The users posed as Americans and sought to spread polarising content about US politics and US-China relations.

Among the topics the network posted about were abortion, culture war issues and aid to Ukraine.

Meta did not link the profiles to Beijing officials, but it has seen an increase in such networks based in China ahead of the 2024 US elections.

China is now the third-biggest geographical source of such networks, the company said, behind Russia and Iran.

The recent takedowns were outlined in a quarterly threat report released on Thursday by the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The China-based network included more than 4,700 accounts and used profile pictures and names copied from other users around the world.

The accounts shared and liked each other's posts, and some of the content appeared to be taken directly from X, formerly Twitter.

In some cases the accounts copied and pasted verbatim posts from US politicians - both Republicans and Democrats - including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Reps Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan, and others.

The network displayed no ideological consistency.

In examples released by Meta, an account in the China-based network reposted the words contained in a tweet earlier this year by Democrat Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia. She criticised Texas's abortion laws and wrote: "Let's remember - abortion is healthcare."

But another account in the network copied-and-pasted a tweet from Republican Representative Ronny Jackson, who wrote: "Taxpayer dollars should NEVER fund travel for abortions."

Meta's report stated: "It's unclear whether this approach was designed to amplify partisan tensions, build audiences among these politicians' supporters, or to make fake accounts sharing authentic content appear more genuine."

The company's moderation rules forbid what Meta calls "co-ordinated inauthentic behaviour" - posts by groups of accounts that work together and use false identities to mislead other users.

Often the content shared by such networks is not false and references accurate news stories from major media outlets. But instead of being used for legitimate comment or debate, the posts are meant to manipulate public opinion, push division and make particular viewpoints seem more popular than they really are.

Meta said the large Chinese network was stopped before it took off among real users.

Ben Nimmo, who leads investigations into inauthentic behaviour on the company's platforms, said such networks "still struggle to build audiences, but they're a warning".

"Foreign threat actors are attempting to reach people across the internet ahead of next year's elections, and we need to remain alert."

The company said it also discovered two smaller networks, one based in China and focusing on India and Tibet, and one based in Russia which posted primarily in English about the invasion of Ukraine and promoted Telegram channels.

Russian networks, which prompted the company to focus on inauthentic campaigns following the 2016 election, have increasingly focused on the war in Ukraine and have attempted to undermine international support for Kyiv, the report said.

Meta also noted that the US government stopped sharing information about foreign influence networks with the company in July, after a federal ruling as part of a legal case over the First Amendment that is now under consideration by the Supreme Court.

The case is part of a larger debate about over whether the US government works with tech companies to unduly restrict the free speech of social media users.

Guy Fieri Signs New $100 Million Multiyear Deal With Food Network - Variety

Guy Fieri has signed a new three-year deal with Food Network, which sources tell Variety is valued at more than $100 million.

This fresh pact means that Fieri retains his title as the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned cable channel’s highest-paid talent and bests his most recent multiyear deal, which closed in 2021 for $80 million.

Food Network and Warner Bros. Discovery declined to comment on the financial figures.

Under the new agreement, which will take Fieri to the 20-year mark with Food Network, the Mayor of Flavortown will continue to produce more of his Emmy-nominated “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” as well as more episodes of “Guy’s Grocery Games” and “Tournament of Champions.”

Fieri will also keep developing and producing projects with Food Network through his Knuckle Sandwich production banner.

“Recognized everywhere he goes, there is only one Guy Fieri,” Warner Bros. Discovery head of food content Betsy Ayala said. “Guy’s love of food, restaurants, and the chefs behind the dishes, combined with his extraordinary passion for crafting series with stories that resonate make extending this partnership a clear choice in our mission to deliver to viewers more of what they love.”

Fellow Food Network mega-star Bobby Flay most recently re-upped his deal in November 2021, a three-year contract that came about six weeks after negotiations stalled between Flay and Discovery (just prior to its merger with WarnerMedia) on financial terms. The valuation of that deal is unknown, though it was reported Flay was seeking $100 million.

A prized talent for the larger Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio (Fieri hosted last year’s post-upfront party for WBD VIPs in New York City), Fieri joined the Food Network family in 2006 when he won “The Next Food Network Star” and was awarded his own series, “Guy’s Big Bite.” Since then, Fieri has starred in multiple titles, including “Guy Off the Hook,” “Guy Fieri’s Road Show,” “Guy’s Family Road Trip,” “Guy & Hunter’s European Vacation” and “Guy’s Ranch Kitchen,” as well as numerous holiday specials and guest appearances across Food Network.

To date, Guy and his team at Knuckle Sandwich LLC have opened more than 80 restaurants around the world.

“One of the reasons we’re bullish about our television networks is because of the power of incredible talents like Guy,” Warner Bros. Discovery US Networks chairman and CEO Kathleen Finch said. “In addition to being a star on Food Network, Guy is a global phenomenon with millions of fans throughout the world and he’s an incredibly creative content producer as well. We’re thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with Guy and to continue to entertain his legions of fans.”

Fieri added: “For nearly two decades, Food Network has been my home and continuing to create great TV within the Warner Bros. Discovery universe is exactly where I want to be. Food is our most universal language so being able to unite people through highlighting chefs, restaurateurs and the folks dishing out incredible meals all over this country and world is a privilege and responsibility that I don’t take lightly.”

Fieri is repped by WME.

Guy Fieri becomes the Food Network’s $100 million man - The Washington Post

Guy Fieri might frequent less-expensive eateries on his Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” but his new paycheck is the stuff of four-star restaurants. The TV personality — known for his distinctively spiky hair, tattoos and enthusiasm for mom-and-pop-made food — just signed a three-year deal with the cable network worth $100 million.

Under the contract, which was first reported by Variety, Fieri will continue to host the show known by fans as “Triple D,” as well as the competition shows “Guy’s Grocery Games” and “Tournament of Champions.”

The eye-popping figure means that Fieri will hang on to his title as the highest-paid Food Network star and, according to Forbes, the highest-paid TV chef. (Gordon Ramsay made about $20 million a year for his Fox shows, Forbes reported.) But it also catapults him into a rarefied category: Rachel Maddow reportedly makes $30 million a year hosting her show on MSNBC, and when he left Fox News earlier this year, Tucker Carlson was reportedly being paid $20 million annually.

Fieri has called the Food Network home since the mid-2000s, when he won the 2006 season of “The Next Food Network Star,” showcasing a kind of bro-bastic personality defined by booming catchphrases and slick shades worn backward. But his evolution from bad-boy novelty act to the face of a legacy network has as much to do with his ability to charm viewers as it does the rapidly shifting media landscape.

Cable networks are trying to hang on as viewers increasingly cut their cords in favor of streaming services, and as younger people get news and entertainment from nontraditional sources, such as YouTube and TikTok. Cable viewership’s long slide reached a milestone this year when, for the first time, cable and broadcast together represented less than half of the ways people watched TV. Cable watching declined to 29.5 percent in October, according to Nielsen, with streaming picking up the slack.

Keeping a marquee personality such as Fieri is not just a play for cable viewers, though, says Jon Klein, the former president of CNN who co-founded streaming platform Hang, which allows fans to watch sports alongside athletes and celebrities. “They’re looking for a foundational talent that can act as a pillar for the Max tent,” he says, referring to the streamer, whose parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, also owns Food Network.

With the proliferation of streaming options, Klein says, viewers often don’t make a distinction of which service they’re scrolling. Instead, they might be looking for their favorite actor — or food personality. “You might not even know what service his show is on,” Klein says. “More than ever, you’re looking for talent. The platform is almost generic.”

Fieri, for his part, has evolved over the years, too, parlaying what once might have seemed like shtick into something genuine. The on-camera mugging on his first cooking show, “Guy’s Big Bite,” continued in “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” which debuted in 2007 — but this time, the antics celebrated the small restaurants he visited, many of whom enjoyed the documented “Guy Fieri effect” of a boost in business after an appearance. During the coronavirus pandemic, he championed and raised money for neighborhood restaurants around the country as the industry lost billions of dollars in business.

Paul Booth, a professor of media and popular culture at DePaul University, says Fieri enjoys a rare kind of fame as a “common cultural touchstone”: Younger people might know him as only a meme, while others might know his charitable work, and others might have eaten at one of a his restaurants — a ubiquity that makes the massive contract make sense, even in the world of streaming and TikTok. “As much as we think we have transformed into an influencer-shaped media environment, deals like this demonstrate that the old-school celebrity is still a valid tool for the media industry,” Booth said.

The Food Network has seen a winnowing of its longtime tentpole personalities. Earlier this year, Giada De Laurentiis jumped to Amazon Studios after 21 years at the Food Network. The host of “Giada at Home” and “Giada Entertains,” as well as specials such as “Bobby and Giada in Italy,” signed a multiyear deal that reportedly will have her starring and executive-producing content for the streaming service.

And last year, Alton Brown, whose “Good Eats” was a defining program of the network’s early days, joined Netflix as the host of “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend,” the reboot of the show he hosted for the Food Network. Netflix picked up the show after the Food Network decided not to renew it after 13 seasons.

The Food Network is still home to stars such as Ina Garten, a.k.a. the Barefoot Contessa, and Ree Drummond, or the Pioneer Woman. Bobby Flay, another of the long-standing stars in the Food Network stable, reached a three-year deal whose price tag was not made public to remain with the channel in 2021, though talks had reportedly stalled over money.

Meanwhile, many popular food personalities are bypassing traditional media to make their names. Actress Tabitha Brown was driving an Uber in 2017 when her off-the-cuff cooking videos went viral; she now has more than 5 million followers on TikTok. (In 2022, Food Network brought her on to host a plant-based competition show, “It’s CompliPlated.”)

Fieri’s fame, though, is far bigger than his shows. A number of restaurant chains bear his name, including ghost kitchens and stadium concessions. Guy Fieri Halloween costumes are an actual genre. And that’s the kind of reach that network execs are paying for. “In addition to being a star on Food Network, Guy is a global phenomenon with millions of fans throughout the world,” Warner Bros. Discovery U.S. Networks chair and CEO Kathleen Finch told Variety.

Capital Health network outage likely caused by cybersecurity incident

TRENTON, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Capital Health, which operates facilities in New Jersey and Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is currently dealing with network outages.

The health organization said it believes the problems on Wednesday are being caused by a cybersecurity incident.

Officials said this is not interrupting care for patients at hospitals and other facilities, including the regional medical center in Trenton.

A Capital spokesperson said as soon as company officials became aware of the situation they notified authorities. They are now working to restore the network.

At this time it is not clear if any patient, employee or financial data has been compromised.

A spokesperson from Capital Health released the following statement late Wednesday morning:

"Capital Health is experiencing network outages because of what we believe to be a cybersecurity incident; something we know is also being experienced at other health care organizations across the country. We continue to care for patients in both hospitals, including our Emergency Rooms, in our practices, and at all other locations under established protocols for system downtimes where necessary. We are prioritizing safe patient care, while working to restore the network and address the impact of this disruption."

Guy Fieri Signs Three-Year Deal With Food Network - Deadline

Guy Fieri is sticking with the Food Network.

The celebrity chef has struck a new, three-year deal with the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned cable network. It comes after he struck a similar deal in April 2021.

The deal comes with the renewal of both Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy’s Grocery Games and Tournament of Champions.

Fieri is also developing new series through his Knuckle Sandwich production banner.

The Mayor of Flavortown has appeared on Food Network since winning the second season of The Next Food Network Star in 2006. He followed that up with Guy’s Big Bite before launching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives as well as other shows such as Guy Off the Hook, Guy Fieri’s Road Show, Guy’s Family Road Trip, Guy & Hunter’s European Vacation and Guy’s Ranch Kitchen.

“For nearly two decades, Food Network has been my home and continuing to create great TV within the Warner Bros. Network founded by Koch brothers endorses Nikki Haley for president - CBS News

Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP), a libertarian conservative political policy network founded by the billionaire Koch brothers, endorsed Nikki Haley's presidential campaign on Tuesday. The group's endorsement provides an influx of resources and support for Haley as she looks to establish herself as the clear challenger to former President Donald Trump.

AFP said the endorsement will include "a multimillion dollar ad campaign launching this week in all early and several Super Tuesday states calling on Americans to unite behind Haley's positive vision to turn the page on today's broken politics and move our country forward," according to a news release.

Its first ad supporting Haley on digital and TV Tuesday touts the former South Carolina governor as a fiscal conservative "who will take on reckless spending from both parties" and says that "Trump and [President Joe] Biden had their chance. They can't fix what's broken."

AFP told reporters in a call Tuesday it has already contacted more than six million voters about the 2024 race, and claimed it has the "largest grassroots operation in the country and a presence in all fifty states."

The organization provided polling that suggests Haley's political identity is  not as well known, which AFP said is  a strength – not a disadvantage.

"As voters have gotten to know more about her, her favorable ratings, as well as her ballot share, has only increased," AFP senior adviser Michael Palmer said. "In these early states and then particularly going into South Carolina and Super Tuesday, it's much easier to define or to craft a narrative around a blank slate with which people don't know about versus a book that's already written, which is the case with Donald Trump and also the case to a certain extent with Governor DeSantis."

AFP officials previously indicated they were looking for a Trump alternative, writing in a memo in February that "the best thing for the country would be to have a president in 2025 who represents a new chapter." AFP did not endorse in the 2020 presidential race.

AFP polling showed that since August, support for DeSantis has fallen in Iowa and New Hampshire, while support for Haley has risen.

"Congratulations to Donald Trump on securing the Koch endorsement," DeSantis communications director Andrew Romeo posted Tuesday morning, arguing that Haley "is a moderate who has no mathematical pathway of defeating the former president." DeSantis himself has previously argued that Haley's electorate doesn't cut as much into Trump's voter base as his does.

"Every dollar spent on Nikki Haley's candidacy should be reported as an in-kind to the Trump campaign," Romeo added.

Haley's team quickly threw the Florida governor's words during a Fox News interview back at him, when he touted his own endorsement by Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats

"If somebody endorses somebody other than you, you don't always have to lash out and attack the person who made the endorsement. It's a primary, people can have different choices in this, and there's not always an ulterior motive," DeSantis said Monday.

Trump's super PAC, "Make America Great Again Inc.," said the DeSantis campaign "finally got it right when they bitterly attacked Americans for Prosperity for being a vessel of globalist shills" and noted AFP's backing of DeSantis in his gubernatorial campaigns.

AFP's affiliated super PAC spent more than $69 million in the 2022 cycle, according to Federal Election Commission disclosures.

AFP Action has spent over $4.1 million on advertising this cycle, according to AdImpact. Since early October it has had a digital ad running in Iowa that says "we can't beat Biden until we let Trump go."

The announcement by the billionaire-backed group comes just weeks ahead of the Iowa caucuses and underscores the ramping up of endorsements, and suggests the GOP race is beginning to  coalesce. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Vander Plaats backed DeSantis in November, while New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu could soon be making an endorsement from his state.

Tuesday's endorsement comes at a time when more top GOP donors backing Haley have expressed the need to support an alternative to Trump.

CBS News confirmed Haley will attend a fundraiser for her super PAC, Team Stand for America, in New York City on Dec. 4. The fundraiser is hosted by eight GOP donors, including Eric Levine, a New York-based donor and litigator.

"Nikki Haley wins by wider margins against Joe Biden than Donald Trump does" Levine said. "I think it behooves the party to try to expand its base not make it smaller. Nikki Haley has a vision for the country, a positive vision for the country."

Solar storms hit more locally than expected: Current instrument network too sparse, says study - Phys.org

Solar storms hit more locally than expected—current instrument network too sparse

A new study shows that there is greater local variation in the impact of solar storms on Earth than previously estimated. Researchers show that the effects can vary widely even over distances as small as 100 kilometers. The findings are published in Scientific Reports.

Local changes in the magnetic environment have so far remained largely unexplored due to the sparse magnetometer array in the main observing area. Today, solar storms, or , are recorded on average by magnetometers spaced about 400 km apart.

Solar storm effects are caused by fast solar wind streams, which cause large electric currents to flow through the ionosphere of the Earth's auroral region, but the behavior of these currents during storms is still not fully understood. Solar storms also appear as auroras.

Researchers from the SodankylÀ Geophysical Observatory (SGO) and the Ionospheric Physics Group at the University of Oulu, Finland studied the local magnetic field perturbations in the auroral region during space storms using .

Large regional differences in the effects of solar storms

The new study looked at data from a strong solar storm in December 1977 from all 32 stations of the then Scandinavian Magnetometer Array (SMA) network in the Nordic countries, which is denser than the current network, and largely unexplored.

Studying the data was laborious, because in 1977, changes in the Earth's magnetic field were seen as fluctuations recorded by magnetometers on film strips. There were almost 40 kilometers of untouched, small film strips from nearly 50 years ago.

It was hand-photographed frame by frame over several dozen meters for the new study, and the images were digitized. Using the digitized values and modern magnetic data, clear regional differences in solar storm intensity were found.

"Usually today, we look at the whole of the Earth's auroral region as a single entity. However, we used more than 30 instruments to map the effects of a single solar storm from the Arctic Ocean to the Bothnian Sea," says Otto KÀrhÀ, a doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu who also photographed much of the old films. He will present the new findings at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) San Fransisco Fall Meeting 2023 in December.

The rarity of large geomagnetic storms limits their study, and local effects have historically left largely unstudied. The largest solar storm in recorded history was Carrington in 1859. Descriptions at the time showed the sun brightening and being dazzling even to closed eyes. The Carrington solar storm caused sparks on telegraph lines and fires. Today, the consequences of a magnetic storm of this magnitude would be devastating for power grids and telecommunications links, including satellites.

In light of new research, local variations in a Carrington-class solar storm could be as high as 150 nT (nanotesla)/10 km. The difference is comparable to a small breeze in Muonio and a magnetic whirlwind 140 km away in SodankylÀ.

"When such a solar storm hits, too sparse magnetometer network could lead to underestimation of local magnetic disturbances and underestimation of the preparedness for them," says Professor Eija Tanskanen, Director of SGO.

Large solar storm possible in the near future: Denser network to warn of local effects

Scientists around the world are fairly unanimous that in the near future, a historically large solar storm may hit the Earth.

"The variability in experts' estimates of its impact stems from the fact that the Earth's geomagnetic environment is still poorly understood, and solar storms cause very variable effects to the auroral currents. The current Intermagnet network has too few magnetometers in the polar region, most commonly at intervals of about 200–400 km, when it would be better to have them at 100 km intervals," says Tanskanen. The magnetometers are hosted by various research institutes and observatories.

Historical data from the new study revealed magnetic field structures in the auroral belt that cannot be observed with the current network of instruments.

"A denser network would help to understand the complex structure of the magnetic field during . We could provide local warning of solar movements, and better safeguard infrastructure vulnerable to magnetic disturbances. Air traffic, for example, could also be warned more regionally about strong magnetic clouds and storms," Tanskanen suggests.

What is a guest Wi-Fi network?

A guest Wi-Fi network is a separate network that you can set up on your router that allows your guests to connect to the internet without accessing your main network. This way, you can protect your privacy and security, while still being a gracious host.

Steps to create a guest Wi-Fi network

Creating a guest Wi-Fi network at home is similar to joining a public Wi-Fi hotspot. You will need to log into your router as an administrator, enable the guest Wi-Fi option, choose a name and password for the network, and restrict access to everything but the internet. Here are the detailed steps:

Create a guest network: Most routers allow you to create a separate guest network that your visitors can use. This network is isolated from your main network and has its own password. This way, your visitors can use your Wi-Fi without having access to your personal files and devices. To create a guest network, you can follow these general steps:

  • Log in to your router: Open your web browser and enter your router’s IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address in your router’s manual or by searching for it online. Enter your username and password to log in to your router’s settings page.
  • Navigate to the wireless settings: Look for the wireless settings in your router’s settings page. The location of this setting may vary depending on your router model.
  • Create a new wireless network: Once you’ve found the wireless settings, create a new wireless network for your guests. This network is isolated from your main network and has its own password. This way, your visitors can use your Wi-Fi without having access to your personal files and devices.
  • Configure the network settings: Configure the network settings for your guest network. You can choose to enable or disable SSID broadcasting, set up a password, and limit the number of devices that can connect to the network.
  • Save your changes: After configuring the network settings, make sure to save your changes. This will ensure that your guest network is set up and ready to use.

The exact steps for creating a guest network may vary depending on your router model. You can refer to your router’s manual or search online for specific instructions for your router.

How to secure your Wi-Fi network without creating a guest network

If you don’t want to create a guest network, but still want to allow your guests access to your Wi-Fi network be sure to do the following things.

Use a strong password for your Wi-Fi. Avoid using common words or phrases, and use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Also, consider using a password manager to generate and store complex passwords.

Enable WPA2 encryption: WPA2 is a security protocol that encrypts your Wi-Fi traffic, making it more difficult for hackers to intercept your data. Make sure to enable WPA2 encryption on your router.

  • Log in to your router: Open your web browser and enter your router’s IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address in your router’s manual or by searching for it online. Enter your username and password to log in to your router’s settings page.
  • Navigate to the wireless security settings: Look for the wireless security settings in your router’s settings page. The location of this setting may vary depending on your router model.
  • Select WPA2 encryption: Once you’ve found the wireless security settings, select WPA2 encryption from the list of available options. This will enable WPA2 encryption on your router.
  • Save your changes: After selecting WPA2 encryption, make sure to save your changes. This will ensure that your router is using WPA2 encryption to secure your Wi-Fi network.

Update your router’s firmware: Router manufacturers often release firmware updates that fix security vulnerabilities and improve performance. Make sure to check for updates regularly and install them as soon as they become available.

Monitor your network activity: Keep an eye on your network activity to make sure that there are no unauthorized devices connected to your Wi-Fi. Most routers have a web interface that allows you to view connected devices.
