The Chinese company Xiaomi has offered another version of a smartphone with a flexible screen in a book format. Structurally, the device resembles the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
According to resource LetsGoDigital, a description of the new Xiaomi product is published on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The patent illustrations give a complete picture of the design of the device.
The large flexible screen will fold down inside the case, protecting it from damage during everyday wear. This panel has neither a cutout nor a hole for the camera – the selfie block will be made in the form of a slide-out module hiding in the upper part of the body. It will receive two image sensors.
A rather large auxiliary display will be located on the outside of the device. At the back, you can see a triple main camera with a vertical arrangement of components.
Among other things, it is worth highlighting the presence of physical control buttons on the side and asymmetrical USB Type-C port at the bottom of the case. The fingerprint scanner is not visible – it will probably be integrated into the screen area.
