Good news for cord cutters!
Earlier this week the NFL announced that Hulu subscribers will soon be seeing NFL Network and NFL RedZone on the live TV portion of the streaming service no later than August 1st.
“We are excited to bring NFL Network and NFL RedZone to Hulu + Live TV subscribers,” said Hans Schroeder, EVP and Chief Operating Officer of NFL Media in the press release. “One of our top priorities as a League remains broadening the distribution platforms for NFL content, and so we’re very pleased to bring our lineup of award-winning shows and live games to Hulu’s live subscribers starting in the 2021 NFL season.”
RedZone is for many people the best way to view NFL Sundays, as commercial-free whiparound coverage of the 10 AM and 1 PM action provides fans a peek into every game and every touchdown that is scored. If you have a favorite team and they’re in primetime or not playing in the two big Sunday windows, then RedZone all day is almost the default way to go.
NFL Network does have some exclusive live games on Thursdays and in late December, plus original shows like A Football Life, Good Morning Football, and America’s Game.
This is the latest expansion for the NFL on streaming services. Sling, YouTubeTV, and Fubo all carry the Network and RedZone channels, so Hulu essentially rounds out the big four of these live TV platforms. As if the case with the others, NFL Network will be part of the Hulu + Live TV base package, whereas RedZone will be an add-on.
