Farmers Business Network Membership Surpasses 25000 - Successful Farming

Membership in Farmers Business Network has surpassed 25,000 farmer members globally, the company announced today in a press release. In the last six months – following its decision to make membership free to farmers – FBN has added over 10,000 new farming enterprises over the past six months.

The growing FBN community of independent farmers currently spans 70 million acres in the United States, Canada and most recently Australia, where the movement to put Farmers First® in agriculture launched with the acquisition of Farmsave Holdings announced in the summer of 2020.

“We want to thank our members for making the growth of the FBN community possible,” said Amol Deshpande, Co-Founder and CEO of Farmers Business Network, in the release. “The foundation of FBN is based on the value of farmer-to-farmer connections. Those connections have grown our network as members share their experiences with each other and encourage more farmers to join and make the overall network stronger.”

As a new member of FBN, farmers have access to a host of benefits centered around leveraging the power of network intelligence and technology to help members maximize the profit potential of their farm. These benefits include:

  • Reducing the cost of production by accessing great value crop protection, seed, livestock feed and animal health products and low-cost financing services.
  • Maximizing the revenue potential of their operation through premium paid for cutting-edge crop marketing, risk management and sustainability services.
  • Farm-tested data backed insights that help farmers make confident decisions that improve the bottom-line including crop input price transparency, seed variety performance and network benchmarking.

Elliot Goodrich, a FBN member from Washington who has seen huge benefits from being a member said: “Last year and this year, I probably saved about $50,000 using FBN Direct.”

New Referral Program

Many of FBN’s new members join as a result of other farmer’s (who have benefited from the value and convenience of its online Ag inputs business FBN Direct) recommendations. That's why today the company is announcing a new FBN Direct Referral Program. This program will reward FBN Members with a $250 credit for every new qualified* farming enterprise they refer to FBN Direct who makes a minimum $5,000 purchase. And the new farming enterprise also wins, with a $250 credit off their first purchase. The referral program runs now through August 31, 2021.

“The rapid growth of our network demonstrates that farmers are hungry for new products and services that help them grow their profit potential,” added Deshpande. “FBN will continue to innovate and add new, technology-driven commercial solutions that bring transparency and data-backed decision making to even more areas of farming in the future.”

FBN Direct Referral Program Terms and Conditions

To qualify as "New to FBN Direct," the member must be a new farm enterprise purchasing inputs from FBN Direct for the first time and not an existing FBN Direct customer creating a new account under the same farm enterprise. The minimum purchase must be $5,000 and be completed between May 9, 2021 through August 31, 2021. The referring FBN Member will receive a $250 credit for referrals that meet this criteria, which will be valid until September 30, 2021. FBN Community Builders are not eligible for this program.
