Learn how to declutter your home, office and life when the Monroeville Public Library holds a declutter event at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 on Zoom.
Shannon Huneycutt, founder of Spark Joy Charlotte and certified Silver Level Konmari Consultant trained by tidying expert Marie Kondo, will present an inspiring online program about the guiding principles needed to tidy up once and for all in your home, office and life. The program is free, but registration is required.

Candidate fundraiser
A buffet dinner fundraiser for candidate Eric Casteel for Allegheny County Council District 8 will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at Veltri’s Wedding and Event Center, 324 Coxcomb Hill Road in New Kensington.

LEGO Brick Fest
The nation’s No. 1 LEGO event and largest touring fan-created LEGO show has reassembled. Brick Fest Live is holding its first show in 18 months with new exhibits and interactive stage shows Sept. 11-12 at Monroeville Convention Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
More than 1 million LEGO bricks will be on display in over 70,000 square feet of space.
This year at Brick Fest Live, LEGO enthusiasts will have a chance to meet contestants from the Lego Masters reality TV show.
Tickets start at $24.99 at BrickFestLive.com with staggered entry at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Children 2 and younger enter for free. VIP tickets are available starting at $49.99.
Fellowship
• Beginning in September, All Souls Episcopal Church in North Versailles, will begin Sunday School at 10 a.m. on Sundays during the school year. The church is at 217 Canterbury Lane (off Route 30 behind the Dunkin store). The class is for children in preschool through early elementary. • The 20th anniversary of 9/11 will be commemorated by the Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church during a special service Sept. 12 remembering the sacrifices of first responders during this traumatic event in our nation’s history. The 11 a.m. community service will feature special music as a tribute to those who gave their lives during 9/11 to save the nation from terrorism. The Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church is at 1622 James St. in Monroeville.
Garden City UMC Food Pantry
Garden City UMC food pantry, 500 Laurel Drive, holds distributions from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Call 412-373-0391 for an appointment. Masks are required. Upcoming distribution dates are Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.
English as a Second Language group
An English as a Second Language Conversation Group is held at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at the Monroeville Public Library.
Participants can meet other English language learners for informal and guided conversation practice, including reviewing pronunciation, learning new vocabulary and possibly discussing short ESL readings suited to the interests and abilities of attendees.

Farmers market
The Monroeville Lions farmers market is open from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday at Monroeville Community Park, 2399 Tilbrook Road.
