Longi to equip solar projects in Portugal and Denmark, finalises big order in Brazil
August 5 (Renewables Now) - Chinese photovoltaics (PV) manufacturer Longi Solar has received orders to supply 64 MW of modules for two projects in Denmark and one in Portugal, it announced today.
More specifically, project developer Eurowind Energy has ordered a 22-MW batch for the Portuguese scheme and the rest for a couple of hybrid projects in Denmark. Longi anticipates delivering the panels of the Hi-MO 5 model from September onwards.
Meanwhile, the Chinese company has completed the exclusive supply of 477 MW of modules for the Sol do Sertao solar project in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Essentia Energia, a renewable energy platform of investment manager Patria Investimentos, has connected the particular plant to the national grid on July 19, Longi said on Wednesday.
The Sol do Sertao facility was built in a 700-hectare area in the city of Oliveira dos Brejinhos. It uses more than 1 million Hi-MO 4 modules.
