The Michigan Wolverines are on bye this week, but the TV network and kickoff time for their next game against the Purdue Boilermakers was just announced by the Big Ten Network.
I hope you all have gotten used to primetime kickoffs this season, as Michigan vs. Purdue will start at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
This will be the Wolverines’ fourth primetime game of the season, as they also kicked off in the evening for the Bowling Green, Minnesota and Michigan State games.
Purdue is certainly a lot different than the team Michigan played in Indianapolis last year for the Big Ten Championship. It hasn’t been a successful first year for new head coach Ryan Walters, as his squad have just two wins on the season (Virginia Tech, Illinois). They are coming off a bye and will head to Nebraska this Saturday.
It’s been a while since the Wolverines have played Purdue in the regular season. We have to go all the way back to 2017 since the last regular season meeting between these two teams, and this game hasn’t been played in Ann Arbor since 2011.
Meanwhile, Michigan is on bye this week, giving the team ample time to rest up and prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.
What are your feelings on Michigan playing yet another primetime game? Are you a fan? Will you be heading to the game? Let us know in the comments below.
